This Wednesday, 5 October, from 5-6.30pm in room ib3.307 on the Waurn Ponds campus the Deakin Philosophical Society will discuss why women aren’t funny. Actually, we’ll discuss Christopher Hitchens’ 2007 Vanity Fair article ‘Why women aren’t funny’, the rebuttal by Alessandra Stanley, ‘Who says women aren’t funny?’, and Hitchens’ rejoinder, ‘Why women still aren’t funny’.
